ACCORDING to Gods special revelation to mankind , The Bible , Gods Word , we have been created in His image .

We have been created for a purpose , which is to be in relationship with Him who created all things . This gives us dignity and meaning in life and with this comes the reality that He who Created us makes the rules . This means we are accountable to Him , He is our judge and our lawgiver ...................
ISAIAH 32:22 For the Lord is our judge; the Lord is our lawgiver;

ACCORDING to the ideological philosophical and atheistic evolutionary worldview we have arrived on the scene through animal ancestry . Resulting in a long line of apelike intermediate ancestors , with no meaning , purpose , dignity or accountability to anything or anyone . With no answer to the origin of morals ie what is right or wrong ? With no ultimate lawmaker who sets the rules . And a consistent evolutionary view holds that there is no purpose for the existence of any of us , and that means YOU . This worldview leads people to making their own rules , therefore the rules are dependent upon who makes them and there is no requirement to listen to or adhere to the inherent God given moral conscience that all of us possess . This has been demonstrated to have catastrophic consequences over the past two centuries , when atheism and evolutionary worldviews have been used to give credence to mass murder on a grand scale .
Leading evolutionist Jeremy Rifkin , said the following ................
‘We no longer feel ourselves to be guests in someone else’s home and therefore obliged to make our behavior conform with a set of pre-existing cosmic rules. It is our creation now. We make the rules. We establish the parameters of reality. We create the world, and because we do, we no longer feel beholden to outside forces. We no longer have to justify our behavior, for we are now the architects of the universe. We are responsible to nothing outside ourselves, for we are the kingdom, the power, and the glory for ever and ever.’

SO , the answer to the question , " Why does it matter where we come from ?"
Answer = "Because , a persons view of their origins ultimately shapes their moral outlook , how they treat other people and how they view themselves ."
CLEARLY , being consistent with both worldviews , it only follows that the biblical account is the worldview which places human beings in their rightful place .......A SPECIAL CREATION MADE IN THE IMAGE OF GOD .
