Millions of dead things buried in mud .........How and Why ?

GENESIS 6:5-8 The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6And the Lord was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. 7So the Lord said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land , man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.” 8But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.

The above text is concerning the decision God made to wipe out all human flesh off this planet and why He chose to do so . Also , we are told Noah and his family found favour with God . Noah was told to build a huge sea going vessel , which would house and protect Noah and his family including many different kinds of biological living organisms which would go to Noah to be protected , from the flood waters , aboard the Ark .
All biological life on the Ark re populated our planet once the flood waters receded .

If there really was a worldwide global flood as described in the book of Genesis chapters 6-9 we would expect to find globally , millions of dead things buried in sedimentary layers , having been buried rapidly and fossilized . THIS IS EXACTLY what we find all over our planet .......Millions of dead biological organisms ( once living organisms ) buried in sedimentary layers , having been fossilized .
