The Crucifixion | A Medical Perspective .

Mathew 12:40 For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.http://esv.scripturetext.com/matthew/12.htm
Jesus Christ used Jonah http://esv.scripturetext.com/jonah/1.htm , when speaking to his disciples concerning his soon coming death and resurrection .
He was telling his disciple what must soon take place so that once it had happened they would remember what He had told them and this would be confirmation to them .Although they did not understand what He was telling them at the time , concerning the meaning behind His Words in relation too the events that would soon happen .
And sure enough what Jesus Christ told His disciples would happen did happen . He was arrested , put on trial and found quilty .
Although Pilate Himself said He found no guilt of any crime to accuse Him of Luke 23:22 http://bible.cc/luke/23-22.htm A third time he said to them, “Why, what evil has he done? I have found in him no guilt deserving death. I will therefore punish and release him.”...... , He was sentenced to death by crucifixion http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-EVfxABSoU . He was led away and nailed to a piece of wood and a spear pierced His side . He was confirmed dead at the scene of His execution , He was placed in a tomb , for three days he was dead , on the third day he rose . 1 Corinthians 15:3-8 Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, 5and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. 6Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. 7Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. 8Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me . ..
