Less transition than in Darwin's time :‎

" The record of evolution , still surprisingly jerky and ironically we have EVEN FEWER EXAMPLES OF EVOLUTIONARY TRANSITION THAN WE HAD IN DARWIN'S TIME .
By this I mean that some of the classic cases of Darwinian change in the fossil record , such as the evolution of the horse in North America , have had to be discarded or modified as a result of more detailed information ..what appeared to be nice simple progression when relatively few data were available now appears to be much more complex and much less gradualistic .
Dr David Raup , Curator of Geology in Chicago , Field Museum of Natural History Bulletin , Vol 50 No 12 , January 1979 , page 25 .

Comments added : Darwin stated there was no such evidence to support a finely graduated organic chain , which is required by biological evolution . So , if there is less examples of evolutionary transition now , than there was when there was non , that means there is less than non now . So , actually , the evidence for biological evolution over millions of years has now gone into the negative evidence range ...STILL ACCEPT SLOW GRADUAL CHANGE ? )

Charles Darwin said :
"Geology assuredly does not reveal any such finely graduated organic chain , and thus , perhaps , is the most obvious and serious objection which can be urged against the theory ."
Charles Darwin , Origin of Species :

Paleontologist David Kitts :
Despite the bright promise that paleontology provides a means of seeing evolution , it has presented some nasty difficulties for evolutionists , the most notorious of which is the presence of ...gaps... in the fossil record . Evolution requires intermediate forms between species and paleontology does not provide them .
Paleontology and evolutionary theory , evolution 28 , 466 .
Biologist Francis Hitching :
If we find fossils, and if Darwin's theory was right, we can predict what the rock should contain; finely graduated fossils leading from one group of creatures to another group of creatures at a higher level of complexity. The 'minor improvements' in successive generations should be as readily preserved as the species themselves. But this is hardly ever the case. In fact, the opposite holds true, as Darwin himself complained; "innumerable transitional forms must have existed, but why do we not find them embedded in countless numbers in the crust of the earth?" Darwin felt though that the "extreme imperfection" of the fossil record was simply a matter of digging up more fossils. But as more and more fossils were dug up, it was found that almost all of them, without exception, were very close to current living animals .
Francis Hitching, The Neck of the Giraffe: Where Darwin Went Wrong, Tichnor and Fields, New Haven, 1982, p. 40.
" The gaps we see reflect real events in life's history - not the artifact of a poor fossil record . "
Valentine , et al . " The Biological Explosion ." 281,318 .
"Illuminating but spotty the fossil record is like a film of evolution from which 999 of every 1000 thousand frames have been lost."
National Geographic , November , 2004 .
