in Jerusalem , Israel , will split in two and water will flow out .
JESUS CHRIST , when He concluded His Earthly ministry 2000 years ago , spoke to His Disciples , with reference to His second coming , from the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem before being taken away from them.

So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. 8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” 9And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. 10And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, 11and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”
This same Mount of Olives in Jerusalem , Israel , which Jesus Christ departed from at the end of His first coming , 2000 years ago , will be the very place that Jesus Christ will return too , at some point , during His Second Coming . We read here what the prophet Zechariah wrote , approximately 2500 years ago and 500 years before Jesus Christ first coming , concerning this second coming of Jesus Christ .

On that day his ( Jesus Christ ) feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward. Zechariah 14: 8 On that day living waters shall flow out from Jerusalem, half of them to the eastern sea and half of them to the western sea. It shall continue in summer as in winter.

CLEARLY , a future event , as this has not happened yet . BUT , interestingly , it has been discovered , some 2500 years after Zechariah wrote down this prophecy concerning Jesus Christ standing on the Mount of Olives and it splitting in two producing a valley , that there is a fault line running through Jerusalem and a major earthquake in that part of the world would cause huge geological damage . http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3980139/ns/technology_and_science-science/t/jerusalems-old-city-risk-earthquake/
Even more astounding is the discovery of a huge volume of water underneath Jerusalem http://www.haaretz.com/print-edition/news/israel-s-largest-underground-water-source-discovered-near-jerusalem-convention-center-1.365216.
Prophecied some 2500 years ago , by a man who would have had no way of knowing about fault lines , unstable ground and a huge underground volume of water . By a man who lived approximately 500 years before Jesus Christ first coming and 2500 years before the very ingredients that would be needed in order for his prophecy to be fulfilled were discovered .
Are we witnessing biblical prophecy written down and given some 2500 years ago , being fulfilled in our time ?
