SIGNS POINTING TO THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST ................
ISRAEL will become like a GARDEN with much vegetation :
For two thousand years , since 70 AD , the land that present day Israel occupies was left to become a barren wasteland . It was not until following the Re-birth of Israel in 1948 http://gen1rev22.blogspot.com/2011/12/signs-pointing-to-second-coming-of.html

that the barren wasteland was transformed from wasteland to a land of much vegetation . And the evidence for this is that Israel is indeed no longer a barren land . This , is exactly what God , through Ezekiel and Isaiah , said would happen when God brought Israel back to the land He promised they would return too .
The prophets Isaiah and Ezekiel , some 2500 years ago , wrote down the following :
EZELIEL 36:35 And when I bring you back, people will say, 'This former wasteland is now like the Garden of Eden! The abandoned and ruined cities now have strong walls and are filled with people!' http://esv.scripturetext.com/ezekiel/36.htm

ISAIAH 35:1,2 The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad; the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus; 2 it shall blossom abundantly and rejoice with joy and singing. http://esv.scripturetext.com/isaiah/35-1.htm

The significance of the re-gathering of the Jews into the nation state of Israel in 1948 , after two thousand years of wanderings within the nations of the world , is that we are told when this happens , at some time soon after their being brought back to their land , Jesus Christ will return a second time . The event of Jesus Christ returning a second time will be a time of great upheavel ,trouble and calamity . Zechariah wrote of this future event some 2500 years ago ........

ZECHARIAH 14:1-5
Behold , a day is coming for the Lord, when the spoil taken from you will be divided in your midst. 2For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken and the houses plundered and the women raped. Half of the city shall go out into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle. 4On that day his ( Jesus Christ ) feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward. 5And you shall flee to the valley of my mountains, for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azal. And you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the Lord my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.

Clearly , Israel needs to be in place before the nations of the world can be gathered against it , and as shown , this happened in 1948 after 2000 years of dispersion .
It must also be noted that never before have the nations of the world been gathered together against Israel , again Clearly a future event .

Are we witnessing biblical prophecy written down and given some 2500 years ago , being fulfilled in our time ?
